Kevin Pietersen ‘keen to play’ in IPL

Days after the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise-owners agreed to raise their salary cap for new players by $2 million, it has emerged that Kevin Pietersen and other English cricketers have been approached to take part in the next staging of the Twenty20 competition. Adam Wheatley, Pietersen’s agent, says that the England captain has been contacted by several of the franchises and that he is “keen to play”.
