IPL in doubt after police reject new schedule

State police chiefs have rejected the IPL’s revised itinerary in view of the forthcoming general elections. The BCCI had earlier sent a new schedule of the Indian Premier League to the Home Ministry, claiming that no matches would be held 72 hours on either side of the scheduled date of the polls slated for the particular state.
