IPL 2009 match schedules released

South Africa is the new venue which will host IPL season 2 from April 18. The tournament will now be held between April 18 and May 24, which will feature 59 matches. The tournament would start from April 18, a delay of about one week from the original schedule.

The schedule (All times IST):

April 18: Mumbai Indians (MI) v Chennai Super Kings (CSK) (4 pm) in Cape Town
Rajasthan Royals (RR) v Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) (8 pm) in Cape Town
April 19: Delhi Daredevils (DD) v Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) (4 pm) in Cape Town; Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) v Deccan Chargers (DC) (8 pm) in Cape Town
April 20: RCB V CSK (8 pm) in Port Elizabeth
April 21: KKR v KXIP (4 pm) in Durban; RR v MI (8 pm) in Durban
April 22: RCB v DC (8 pm) in Cape Town
April 23: CSK v DD (4 pm) Durban; KKR v RR (8 pm) in Port Elizabeth
April 24: KXIP v RCB (8 pm) in Durban
April 25: DC v MI (4 pm) in Durban; KKR v CSK (8 pm) in Cape Town

  17. Rains very badly affect the the IPL matches. it would be better if we held the the match in Newzealand or in Australia. As south Africa is in equtorial rainy region.

  18. It would have been much better if the matches would have been in INDIA, but unfortunatly we have the situation…..anyways it is very depressing when i go home early to watch IPL matches and it is cancelled due to the RAIN!!!!!!!!!
