Race to South Africa

Three weeks to the opening of Indian Premier League Season II and franchisees are busy to get their pseudo home base in South Africa. Rajasthan Royals were first of the block and have tied up with Cape Cobras and will be based from Cape Town. Mumbai Indians have chosen Durban, while Kolkata Knight Riders are happy in Bloemfontein. Every franchisee wants their team to be based in a center where there is lot of asian fan base.

Royal Challengers team must be happy with South Africa being the venue as they have majority of the players from South Africa and could very well prove advantageous and could be a potential winner of Season II. RC’s coach Ray Jennings is also from South Africa and could propel the team to semis or finals. Looks like Team RCB has hit Luck By Chance?

Knight Riders are busy looking for South African players and have signed Langeveldt for their Season II conquest beginning 18th April 2009.
