Royal Challengers storm into finals

Royal Challengers Bangalore 149 for 4 (Pandey 48, Dravid 44) beat Chennai Super Kings 146 for 5 (Parthiv 36, 2-38) by six wickets. Anil Kumble had his way with the toss and put Chennai to bat. With a disciplined attack, Royal challengers restricted the favorites Chennai Super Kings to 146. Even though Royal challengers had a jolt of two wickets in the beginning, Royal challenger’s new found sensation Manish Pandey and classy Rahul Dravid were in perfect control to steer Royal Challengers to the finals against Deccan Chargers.

Hardly anybody would have expected such an turnaround for Royal Challengers or for that matter Deccan Chargers. Both these teams were languishing below the table in the IPL 2008 season. This year they have made it to the finals against all odds. Challengers were dubbed as the test team of 2008 and the start studded Deccan Chargers could not live up to the reputation either. Come 2009, both the teams have proved everyone wrong and have barged into finals.

The finals will be a cracker and any guesses who will etch their name on the IPL trophy?
