Mumbai Indians 126 for 1 (Jayasuriya 54, Tendulkar 40*) beat Bangalore Royal Challengers 122 for 9 (Fernando 4-18, Smith 3-26) by nine wickets
A good bowling spell by Dilhara Fernando restricted Bangalore to 122 with some good line and length that fetched him four wickets. Jayasuriya and Sachin Tendulkar added 96 in 69 balls chasing 122 which made the chase easy for the Mumbai Indians to sign-off the inaugural IPL season with a win. Dravid has lot to ponder about the way things have panned out for Royal Challengers.
