Rajasthan Royals 192 for 9 (Watson 52, Yusuf 45, Maharoof 3-34) beat Delhi Daredevils 87 (Dilshan 33, Watson 3-10, Munaf 3-17) by 105 runs
Quite an anti-climax for a encounter of this sort. Never expected this encounter to be a hopelessly one-sided contest. Sehwag won the toss and put Rajasthan Royals into bat. Royals had a slow start with Graeme smith’s hamstring injury resurfaced and a runner being provided to him. Asnodkar cut loose and then Royals were racing away until Mahroof put some brakes on the Royals innings and pushed them from 65 for no loss to 76 for 3. The break was short lived as Shane Watson plundered the bowling attack. Yusuf Pathan too had some lusty blows against the lack lustre bowling attacking of Delhi Daredevils and Royals ended up at 192/9.
Shane Watson stuck thrice in his opening spell of three overs to get rid of Top-3 Daredevils. Sehwag, Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan back in the dugout by the end of 5th over. Rest of the bowlers chipped in with wickets to end the dare devilry at 87. Shane Watson was declared Man-of-Match for his all-round performance which had Royals win by a thumping 105 runs.
