Chennai takes to Super King Dhoni

Dhoni’s presence in the city had also helped the Chennai team management to use some of his free time wisely, without interfering with the Test of course. They had at least one ‘excellent’ meeting with the captain, as revealed by the man in charge of running the team, former India player VB Chandrasekar.

The meeting was designed to break the ice between the superstar and the Super Kings management. “It was stunning, he floored us with his frank talk,” gushed Chandrasekar.

According to VB, as Chandrasekar is known here, Dhoni surprised them with his preparation. “He was very serious and had already thought out the team combination and how to go about playing in the tournament. We are looking at playing serious cricket and he seemed the perfect man for it,” said VB.
