Way2SMS on Mobitisement spree

Free messaging portal Way2SMS, in its latest tie up has partnered with Delhi Daredevils, one of the participating teams for the Indian Premier League (IPL), to provide mobile branding and publicity. The company is also in talks to provide publicity for Deccan Chargers, the team to represent Hyderabad in IPL, according to company officials.

Way2SMS, a division of Value Added Service provider Sunsilica, has tie ups with telecom operators to use their infrastructure in a model where customers can send free SMS through the website. About 11 lakh registered users are already present in its database and about 1.5 crore messages are sent everyday company, informed company officials.

The company said only 92 characters, out of the total 160 are available for users to send messages. The rest space would be used for advertising on the mobile or ‘mobitisement’ as the firm calls it.
