CSK boss in hot water over cricket and loans

Mr N Srinivasan, vice-chairman cum managing director, India Cements Limited (ICL), has run into rough weather over the investment in the team. He is reported to have spent more than Rs 400 crore on CSK, something that has not gone down well with a section of the company’s board of directors, who feel the money could have been used to set up a cement plant instead.

Chennai Super Kings loosing steam?

After the departure of Australian Cricketers Matt Hayden and Michael Hussey, Super Kings are finding it difficult to keep their winning track and crashed into three consecutive defeats. Also after Aussies departure, there have been no high scores to the tune of 180’s or 190’s in any of the teams. Aussie power counts!

Chennai Super Kings need to shuffle their batting order with Raina and Albie Morkel opening the batting, followed by Parthiv Patel, Vidyut and then Dhoni. The bowling side seems to be good and can get better. Hopefully they can turn around things when they meet Kings XI Punjab in Chennai on 10th may.

Tamil film stars are queuing up to become brand ambassador of the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team, an official with the team said on Monday. Among those who have offered their services are upcoming actor Arya and superstar Rajnikanth’s daughter Saundarya, team’s spokesman Gurunath Meiyappan told reporters.

Dale Steyn and Albie Morkel had contrasting Indian Premier League debuts as the Chennai Super Kings beat the Bangalore Royal Challengers by 13 runs in Bangalore on Monday. Steyn and Morkel played their first matches in India after completing their Standard Bank Pro20 commitments with the champion Easterns Titans side, and were on opposing sides on Monday.
