IPL global tender receives overwhelming response

he Indian Premier Leagues global tender process for official franchises has received an overwhelming response with many Indian and international entities expressing their interest in acquiring the eight teams for the showbiz Twenty20 event in April.

he Media Rights Invitation to Tender for broadcast and other media rights to the IPL has been acquired by broadcasters including Sony Entertainment, Nimbus, the World Sports Group, ESPN Star Sports, Ten Sports and NDTV in partnership with a US based USD 25 billion media equity fund named Providence, a press release issued by IPL said on Friday.
